An Inspired Approach to Chicken Sausage

While working as a waitress at the Atlanta restaurant Indigo, Delia Champion dreamed of one day opening up her own restaurant. In 1993, her dream became a reality when she launched The Flying Biscuit Cafe in charming Candler Park, an intown Atlanta neighborhood. The Candler Park restaurant opened to rave reviews and, a few years later in 2000, Delia opened a second location in Midtown Atlanta before working to franchise the concept.

Delia is excited to bring forth a concept that has been 15 years in the making. Over time, she has perfected a delicious chicken sausage recipe, hand-crafted from locally-produced organic meat. A self-proclaimed foodie, Delia is thrilled to introduce “The Slinger” to Atlanta, and to provide a healthier and tastier alternative to fast food. She crafts her sausage in small batches and uses only chicken and spices…no preservatives, no fillers, no additives and no pork!

The Stand's hand-crafted sausage recipe uses locally sourced chicken out of Gainesville, Georgia that is deboned by hand. The chicken sausage is made in 70-pound batches with spices that are sourced from South Georgia.
